I am mid-process converting an '06 PT Cruiser from US, to UK market specs for a future move. As such, side marker/repeaters must be installed to repeat the blinker light signal. I had bought a set I loved from the UK, designed for a mini. After some modification to the repeaters all I had to do was cut a 22mm hole in the sheet metal in my front wings to mount them, I stuck them down with 3M VHB tape to ensure years/decades of secure fitting.I fully expected these to break drilling a hole of that size into sheet metal, however I was completely wrong and my mistrust was mis founded. After marking the spot with a sharpie, and drilling a 0.5mm pilot hole, the rest was easy. I drilled at half speed with a $16 cordless Hyper Tough drill and it had no trouble, and I was able to mount my new parts with ease. I then used them again to drill additional holes inside the wing and on the inner fender to run the wires through, and secured these with rubber grommets.I would certainly use these again in future projects, they are fantastic for the price. Included a picture to show the final product.

For me, this is a specialty tool, as I assume it is for most of you who don't work at guitar pedal shops or something like that. That said, it doesn't need to be the most durable product. It just needs to be available when I need to make sure I am drilling a big hole to an exact size. I am sure if you strapped this onto a very high-powered tool and drilled into metal with it all day then you could probably mess it up, but really I don't see any reason the average joe needs bits like this to be any more fancy than this, unless you are using them in some particularly prolonged or intense way. I use these to drill holes in metal boxes to install button for musical devices.

The product is poorly manufactured.Very dull and doesn't fit quick release chuck drill.I put one of these in a brand new makita impact driver.I couldn't get the damn thing out.I almost ruined my $300 impact driver. When I finally got it out I had to file the end down so it wouldn't get stuck again.

Very useful tool to have in your tool box for adding rivet nuts after drilling the correct size. I used this on my Honda S2000 which is just a vehicle made of regular steel. The drill bits themselves did not take this steel Well and rounded out after about 20 holes so I will have to buy a new set. glad it’s cheap

I got this step bit drill set to work with arcade panels. Here a picture where I widen holes in the metal panel of an Dreamcast Arcade stick to fit 30mm arcade buttons.Yes the holes are little rough in the picture, but its nothing some filing and sanding can't fit.Got 6 holes drilled with little issues, lets see if this thing last 6 more projects like this.

I had to mount an on-off switch on a metal plate and needed to drill a hole for the mounting plate. I bought this set and I'm glad I did! It was a breeze drilling the exact size hole I needed and only took a few minutes. This is a nice heavy set and comes with a little case for storage. I'm very impressed with the quality and highly recommend them!

You don’t have to use these everyday for your job to know they are junk. Tip broke off the big one first try and they won’t cut paper let alone steel
