I left my charger behind somewhere and needed a replacement ASAP to use in the meantime. I didn’t think I would be able to find a replacement charger for an “older†(2015) MacBook Pro on Amazon, and definitely not for cheap, but I took a gamble and bought this one. It not only arrived promptly, but (to my extreme surprise) has also so far worked just as well—if not better— than my original Mac charger. Not to mention the cord and connectors seem to be infinitely more sturdy and durable! I don’t even use my old Mac charger anymore, seriously! Anyone who has bought their fair share of cheap cables and/or chargers in their life knows that it is almost ALWAYS something you live to very soon regret.& Because of that, I thought it was especially important that I write this review.,. Because this one has proven to be a notable exception to that rule. Durable, functional, & charges just as fast as the one that costs much more. I have had it for several months now, & if it craps out you’d better bet I will amend this review.But for now, I’ll just say, don’t mess around with other brands & don’t pay more than you need to! This one is just as good as the one that came with your computer, if not better.

The MacBook Pro 85W Charger Replacement is an excellent alternative to the original Apple charger. It works just as well, if not better, for a fraction of the price. I’ve used it with my MacBook Pro (2012-2017 models), and it charges quickly and reliably. The build quality is solid, and I haven’t noticed any difference in performance compared to the much pricier Apple version. Definitely a great buy for anyone looking to save money without compromising on quality!

This product became very hot to the touch and completely stopped working 40 days after purchase, I contacted the seller and wait his reply. I will keep the comment line posted,

I bought the first charger in last December and it stopped working within a month. I noticed that it got super hot one day and almost burned my finger and then it stopped working. I checked the ends, two of the metal pins were burnt. I thought it was a product defect and I was just having a bad luck. So I went ahead return it and ordered a second one on late January. The second one works perfectly at the very beginning, however it started to get hot around early March which is about just over one month using it. I remembered how the first one got broken, so I started to carefully check it constantly to make sure it was not super hot. However, it still went hot and finally burned the two metal pins in the connection part. And I noticed that it also burned my mac book connection port. :( It might already happened with the first charger but I wasn’t checking my Mac book back then. Today as early April, after about 3 months, the second charger completely dead. I have pictures of the charger end and my Mac book connection port. I can’t get a refund now since it already passed one month return period. Very sad. :(. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this product.

Harper at no cost to me, it is working fine, for past 2 weeks.It gets really hot at times while charging. Pls be careful, they need to think on its design about hotness.Updated review on Feb 08 2025
