This is a simple tool for backyard mechanics to compress strut springs, They work well and are sturdy and the price is fair for what it is. I remember using similar tools many years ago that didn't have the safety pins and they were a bit scary to use, but these have safety pins that prevent the compressed spring from popping loose from the tool which makes them much safer to use.
