Real needle but has a shield. I'd still monitor until they got it.

I bought this product for my 9 year old daughter as a birthday present thinking it would be a fun and easier way to get started sewing before transitioning to a regular machine. There is nothing simpler or easier about this than a regular machine-- just cheaper and more frustrating. The instructions said that it was "all set to go" and pre-loaded with thread and bobbin, however, I believe the product we received had probably been returned by someone else who was similarly frustrated as the product out of the box had a piece of already half-stitched thread in it and a tangled bobbin. We cut out the thread and before even trying to use it we had to figure out how to thread the machine and the bobbin. When we finally got everything loaded and attempted to stitch the "go" button ran so quickly (you can't really control the speed) that my daughter was unable to guide the fabric and the whole thing got all tangled up again. This thing is cheap, but honestly, not even worth your time or money. If you are turning to this machine because you know nothing about sewing it will not make anything easier for you.

This machine is a great little sewing tool. It doesn’t come with a wall plug cord or a foot pedal, but it does have slots for both, so you can easily use your own if you have them. I used an older version’s cord and pedal, and they worked perfectly. I love the built-in finger protector, which is a nice safety feature. Overall, it’s a solid, portable machine for basic sewing projects.

This is a good machine to teach a child how to sew for beginners.

You get what you pay for. After one month, this thing doesn't work. It's not that the battery is dead — it still runs. But every piece of this has the potential to completely snap the thread. Now every time I start it up, something inside cuts the thread. I've adjusted the tension a million times and it doesn't help. It'll probably end up in the trash any day now.My suggestion: if you're getting this as a gift for a kid — spend a little more money and get a legitimate sewing machine. It will work the same way but probably won't ruin so many projects. Buying this will just create more plastic waste.

This cute tiny thing is great! I have a regular sewing machine, but I wanted something to try on paper and while traveling. I have not used this on fabric yet except once sewing fabric to paper. It has gone through glue... Just go slow. The thread does get caught on the tensioner- it's too tight sometimes, but you loosen it a bit and it's ok. Play with it, you figure out the kinks. Already having sewing experience did help me figure its annoyances out.If you find using it fast is difficult, try turning the wheel by hand. People do slow stitching... Hand stitching. You can do slow stitching with a machine. Just turn the wheel towards yourself while guiding the paper/ fabric. You have more control, less likely to jumble the thread, and it's still easier than hand stitching.

I was very disappointed in this little sewing machine. The machine operates by pushing an on and off button. Even though it has a place to plug it in and to hook a foot pedal to it, they don't even make a foot pedal or an adapter cord to plug it in with. When you turn it on to sew, I think you can hear it throughout the entire house. It makes a horrible clunking noise with each stitch that it makes. Within the first 5 minutes of using it, the presser foot fell apart, and about every 10 to 15 stitches, we have to put it back together because it falls apart again.I think the idea of this little sewing machine is good, and if it were made well it would be fantastic. But this is not made well. You can tell it was made cheaply with cheap products. I would not recommend this particular product.

Our 7 year old grandaughter asked one for her birthday. The day after she made a scarf and wore it to school. Her parents said it was easy to work with. She loved that she made something herself. This gives kids the opportunity to sew and hopefully keep sewing as the grow up.

Hello, I had high hopes for the sewing machine.since it was for beginners, Only to find out that the mechanism or arm is so stiff it’s hard to get it to work, when you place the material it jams up and has to be manually adjusted to restart the sewing machine. This was not the original machine my granddaughter wanted. So next time I will go with her suggestions.

Materiales muy simples y poco duraderos, por el precio te puedes comprar una máquina portable de verdad
