I've been dealing with a p0420 code for some time now and tried Cataclean to try to pass inspections but that didn't work and I even bought new upstream and down stream 02 sensors hoping it would solve the p0420 code. However, that didn't work so the only thing left was to change the cat. I've heard negative things regarding the much cheaper versions so decides to get this one since it was in the middle. (Honda's direct replacement is $1,000.00+). Installed the new cat yesterday and the code went away (THANK GOD!). Passed emissions and so far so good. Car's acceleration is even feeling better. Only issue is that it doesn't come with the bolts or the heatshield, nor can you install the heatshield that the original cat comes with and transfer it to this cat since it doesn't have the welded parts to mount the heatshield on to. If you need bolts I recommend to go to a hardware store and test bolts on the cat. I took my cat with me to Lowe's and started testing bolts while at the store to see which ones fit. (get the stainless steal bolts grade 9 and above). Hope this helps yall.

I take back my previous review. 2 months after installation the car is showing P0420 code again.Original " Replaced original Cat on 2007 Honda Accord EX 2.4 with this one. Drove 150 miles, codes were gone, passed inspection. Cost hundreds less than the Honda Cat.Paid a shop $150 to install, they cut the flanges and welded it in to avoid leaks at the gaskets."

This worked out perfect for my 2006 Honda Accord Ex 2.4 I was at first a bit nervous about going against the Honda Dealerships recommendation to purchase the Honda parts from them, But after A lot! of research and talking to several Mechanic shops, I chose puchase this Cat Converter along with both up and down stream o2 sensors Denso 234-9040 & 234-4797. Midas installed all 3 parts for 95.00 plus tax. So far It's worked out great! The Engine light turned off, my car runs great and I saved A lot of money.

Direct Fit, no issues during instal. Sounds a little more deep then normal but definitely worth it.
