I am a Emergency Vehicle Technician which uses this angle drill everyday. When you need to not break off a screw or bolt I will use this. It is strong but not too strong to not ream off a bolt or screw. It can get in tight spots and is very dependable. Buying a second one to have twoon hand to make my job quicker. Great product!Edit as of 9/1/23, I have three now!

This isn't a driver you'll need very often but when you need it, it does a great job. First thing is that the bits you use need to have a longer hex shank, you can't just us a small bit by itself with the driver, you need at least a 1 1/2 inch bit to be long enough. I kind of wondered why it didn't have any torque settings but I don't think it really matters much. It doesn't hit as hard at the regular high end Makita drivers but that's good, less of a chance of stripping out the screw. I also thought it was a tad heavy but the heft actually works to your advantage. When gripped with one of your hands over the Hex end it's easier to drive with that extra heft.

I wasn't sure I should buy this- The right-angle head makes it a rather specialized tool, and it's relatively expensive.SO glad I got it though. It's an excellent driver, even when you don't need the right-angle head. And when you DO need it.... it's so much better than any of the other alternatives I've tried. It drives screws much better than any of my other screwdrivers. MUCH better. The one downside is that there's no torque setting, so you really have to be careful: it will over-sink the screws in a heartbeat, and it's broken off a few screws too. All of that is my fault: it gives you a great sense of control and precision, but it's up to you not to overdo it.Pull the trigger (pun intended). Buy this! If you think you MIGHT need it, I can guarantee you will, and you'll be glad you have it.

Makita reliability. Works on any Makita 18V LXT (lithium-ion) battery. Great for getting in tight spaces and/or awkward areas. (530in-lbs/44 ft-lbs, 1/4" locking hex-shank speed chuck) Drives screws, bolts, nuts, drills holes. Best use is as a companion tool for Makita's 18v LXT drill/driver combo kit, to expand versatility. TOOL ONLY. Battery and charger not included, but may be purchased as a kit, or separately.

Works well, but lacks power. Probably 15 percent of the time I have to use this driver to begin a screw and then have to switch to a non-90 degree driver to finish driving. Something about the 90 degree design appears to limit the power. However because of tight spaces I frequently have no choice but to start with this driver and if it fails to complete the driving, then switch to a larger driver after this one has gotten me more clearance.

I use this thing at work, at home, and in the shop. Gets the job done quickly and efficiently. Quick lock/release chuck allows you to switch out bits quickly saving time and angled head helps to get into tight spots. Comes with the tool, a 3.0Ah battery, charger (which fully charges a dead battery in 35 minutes), a belt clip, and a roomy tote. Worth every penny.
