Few dishes were contaminated before use. We homeschool and the project was compromised causing us to have to shift the curriculum and that was a huge pain. The ones that weren't contaminated seem to be clean specimens with good clarity.

Eh, You pay for convienence. I'm giving these guys four stars becuase the product did come sterile and caused no contamination issues which really is the most important thing when buying agar. Combined with the fact nobody else has blagar(black agar) Im happy with this seller, just wish the convienence didnt cost so much.

The plates themselves are nice. I like the charcoal in the agar to see the mycelium better. Other than that, they are agar plates that function as expected.The first set came in contaminated. I contacted Olympus Myco and they replaced the plates. Amazon storage is likely not the best and the plates that came directly from Olympus Myco were perfect.

These plates came contaminated so I tried to sterilize them but it's the lowest quality plastic. Do not order these they are trash.

lots of contamination upoon opening the box. mold or something was growing over the entire dish(multiple) which made me not trust the batch.

7 of the 10 plates were contaminated when I got them sadly just had to use what I had a for a transfer and now all contaminated and know the transfer was clean , sorry but I wouldn't trust these again.
