My Border Terrier loves gnawing on this. The size is perfect for him and the ball makes it easy for him to hold in place while he chews. Not very good for tug games, though.

The rope has proven to be very durable as I have a lab that is a heavy chewer. The tennis ball however only lasted about 2 days before coming apart and needing to be removed.

The rope was shredded in the first ten minutes, and the ball too small; I was afraid it could get stuck in his throat if there was no rope, so I threw it in the trash, too.

First, this came faster than expected so I would order from seller again! The tug is tightly braided together, solid and the tennis ball adds extra interest and fun for your dog. My dog can destroy just about anything and the tug remains in fine shape after months of use! Amazing. I'll admit, she did destroy the tennis ball after a while but that was no surprise to me. Pull-Tugs like this are great fun and allow you to interact directly with the dog so it is fun for both.For those of you who are nervous about playing tug with your dog (afraid your dog will get too wound up) I suggest playing tug "with rules". Rules being that you:1. Introduce the tug to your dog by holding onto the tug and asking your dog to play. Make this a special toy that you bring out not one that lays around on the floor everyday.2. Ask your dog for a "Sit"3. Hold the tug in front of your dog and say "Take it"4. Play tug! Best to be down on the dogs level so you are not causing jerking or yanking motions on your dogs neck.5. Ask your dog for a good solid "Out". (tip: offer a treat to lure your dog to let go of the tug if your dog is not trained with a solid "Out".)6. Start all over again.Tug/Pull is a great way to teach you dog control by waiting for the invitation to tug. It is an excellent game to play to teach your dog "Out". Knowing control and "Out" are key behaviors for a dog as they could save his/her life some day.

My dog love tennis ball & tug of war, combining the 2 is a very good idea. But the rope is too short & thick (not flexible enough) to play tug of war. In 5 minutes my dog tear down the ball materials.

Our doodles are addicted to these! We buy these every few months to replenish our favorite toy stash.The rope is extremely durable - the ball might be less durable if your pooch is a chewer.

This was far smaller than implied, especially for a "large". Dog ate the ball in a couple of days. Still chews the rope, though it almost completely fits into her mouth.

My 5lb chihuahua puppy ripped through the tennis ball in under 15 minutes. Very flimsy. Too bad. I had high hopes for this product.
