Easy to assemble. Stand up the pole and use a hammer to tap the base on each end.People buying this should know how to use tools to assemble.

I just pulled these out of the box after having them for almost two months. At first, I agreed with the reviewer that said that they're unusable. His reason was that the pads can't be attached to the jacks. But I was able to get them on by manually trying to bend the pads along the axis of the slits on the part that holds the ends of the jacks while also pushing the pad onto the jack. It required a lot of force. It's hard to describe and there is no documentation. The jacks seem well built but there's no excuse for the lack of explanation on how to put these together. If I had tried to use them soon after I received them I probably would have returned them. For that reason I can't give them more than 3 stars.

What I like best about these cabinet jacks is their compact design which allows them to fit under shorter openings between cabinets, even a microwave. I had to take away a star because the pads are ridiculously difficult to attach to the jacks. I tried compressing the pad onto the jack with woodworking clamps without success. In frustration, I grabbed my hardwood flooring mallet and used a piece of scrap 2â€x4†pine board to provide a larger striking surface. With several, well-placed blows, I was able to get the pads to “pop†onto the jacks, admittedly, way too much effort required. The tension release on the jacks is a bit awkward to use but it's no different that an “F-style†woodworking clamp so I was used to working with the design. Considering what a huge benefit it is to have a “helping hand†with hanging cabinets, I can deal with a bit of inconvenience or inconsistency. If you follow my reviews, you know how I feel about misleading product photos. The photo that shows a clamp being used at a right-angle is quite suspect, in my opinion. The “non-slip†surface of the pads does not grip that tightly so I question the claim, unless you add double-sided tape to provide some additional gripping power.I am pleased with the MANQO Cabinet Jacks and suspect that you will be too. Who doesn’t need a helping hand now and then? 😉

I ordered this ‘MANQO Cabinet Jack for Installing Cabinet‘ set to hopefully use for an upcoming kitchen remodel project at our cabin. I was dreading having to deal with installing the new wall cabby my, so I figured this tool would be a big help.Unfortunately, this ‘MANQO Cabinet Jack for Installing Cabinet’ set is not usable. There is no feasible way to attach the pads to the jack. The description in the listing refers to some kind of ‘gasket’ that holds the pads on the jacks. My set had no such gaskets installed or loose in the package. The jacks are unusable…and definitely unsafe…without them. It’s too bad that I will be unable to use this ‘MANQO Cabinet Jack for Installing Cabinet’ set for my kitchen project. The jacks themselves seem well made and operate very nicely. But without a way to secure the pads to the jacks, they’re useless.
