It was a little tricky for a single person to assemble but I was able to assemble it myself by positioning it so that the parts could be held together while inserting the screws. The instructions are not completely clear since they do not show where the indented parts of the screen (the top part of the shelving) should be positioned. Nor does it explain what the indentation is meant for. It may just be a slight bump to prevent things like pencils from rolling off and it is not obstructive for my use. Also, there are little feet to be snapped on the bottom that come with the screws but there is no mention of them in the one sheet instructions. However it offers a good amount of storage efficiently and looks neat.

This 8 tier rack is functional but not really sure on the capacity. I would be afraid to put any weight on it.Assembly was fairly easy. 4 screws, some hinges, and a little snap in hold the entire thing together. The shelves can be removed if you need the space but really the support isn't there for much other then light objects and paper. Just using a finger and pushing down the selves give easily.

With my mother recently passing, I'm spending a lot of time and desk space going through her documents and mail. I needed some way to organize everything, so when the Marbrasse 4 Tier Desktop Literature Organizer came across my data feed, I decided to give it a try. My impressions:- The product arrived disassembled, in a relatively flat package with a poor copy of assembly instructions inserted. The instructions are reasonably complete, but the illustration pictures are of such poor quality that they can't really be used to understand how to assemble each step. It's like the original was a full color document that was copied in black and white with no gray shading. You simply cannot make out the details in the pictures.- Once I managed to complete assembly, the finished product is okay. You can see bends in the metal frame and imperfections in how the pieces fit together. The organizer looks like something you might find in an industrial shop floor, not an office desk. It just looks crude.- Functionally, the organizer works as expected. There are a total of 8 slots for paper, and 6 of those slots are on sliding shelves that can be pulled out to more easily work with the paper contained. This is a nice feature that sets this organizer above many of the others.- The cost of this organizer is expensive. It's constructed from metal, not plastic, so there is expected to be a bump up in price, but for a paper organizer, plastic would have worked just fine; the organizer doesn't need to be that robust when sitting on a desk. This organizer will do the job I need it to do, but it was difficult to assemble and I think it's overpriced for what you get. If you need a robust paper organizer this product will fit the bill, but if you're looking for a good value proposition, you may want to keep looking.

I ordered 2 each of these organizers. One came with all 10 selves. The other unit only came with 9 of 10 shelves. It was missing a single shelf.

The picture of thus priduct shows folders/books. I can't even put my agenda in these slots. Very tight fit for the folders. I included a picture. Also 2nd picture. The screw did not screw into anything so I just super glued it. Don't think it's worth $50! But I guess I'll make it work.

Got this placed on my garage work desk where I intend to stow some engine build journals and binders and have easy access. I must say, this is a perfect rack with very minimal real estate foot print. Total desk space is about a milk crate size, and I get to really segregate different categories of paperwork in this filing rack. The rack is very light weight, so it won't be too stable until I piled about 4 binders worth of paper into the rack. Installation was easy and will only require a ph screwdriver. These shelf space has plenty height and depth, but width profile is quite lack luster. I can slip some 8.5 x 11 paper without any issues, spiral bound note book can squeeze, but will kink at the spiral side. Binders and 3-ring folders will not fit in this rack, that's pretty much the only negativity about this rack. But I did check the dimensions before acquiring this, and I expected this narrow profile. So that didn't bother me because as long as I can get some 8.5 x 11 and regular engineering grid paper into this rack, I'm good to go. The rack is made of metal, but it's not very hard, especially with the shelves, these are extremely thin and mesh platform is easy to bend. When I load about 1.5" thicket of paper stack onto the shelves, they'll sag and cause the side supports to bend-in a little bit. That's about the only surprise that caught me. But Marbrasse has plenty of desk top organization gadgets, for light duty use, this is good enough. It works well for me, so I'll give it all the stars these shelves deserve.
