Very sturdy and strong for the price. The mallets are very hard, if you use them for marimba they will produce a hard sharp attack. The handles feel great and grippy as they are natural wood. Great for learning or specific sound on the marimba.

Purchased these as replacement for a Vic Firth set that didn't survive football season band. These unknown brand seem to be actually of better quality than the Vic Firth set it replaced.

I bought these for my daughter. She had to use a crappy pair provided by the school. She told me one of the kids who couldn't play well had a good pair. I couldn't expect my child to use a crappy pair any longer so I bought these.
