Fixed my broken horn. Exact replacement on my boat. Would prefer an option for stainless steel cover rather than plastic. Would prefer for the water screen to be more uv resistant. The mesh screen sun rots on these allowing water into the horn which results in premature failure. In my experience, these must be replaced every 3-4 years. I'm going to try gluing on a piece from a reusable grocery bag to see if it might resist sun rot any better.

This is plastic, not sure how you chrome plate plastic. Very thin plastic, I am very sure this horn cover would not last long at all if you decide to use it. Still trying to warp my mind around "chrome plated" plastic.... returned as soon as I opened it.

As probably many of purchaser of that product,I was surprise and disappointed when opening the package.THAT GRILL IS MADE FROM CHROMED PLASTIC.I was so sure that for the price tag, it would be made from chromed stainless steel.as for car door handles and mirror covers,This is really not the case, it is exactly the same moulding in respect to all detailsas my white yellowish OEM plastic part on the boat.I have installed it and it is a perfect fit for my 2005 STINGRAY BOAT 185LXIt is important to note, that have very bad experience with chromedplastic installed on several of our vehicles. The chrome became spotted,tarnished with white shadows then, the chrome get taken off the plastic withina year - year an half. So be aware to boat owners using their boatson salted water, such kind of product is not really compatible withcalcium or salted environment. I am writing with experience.I won't send it back for refund as I was planning after opening the parcel,I am planing to test it by covering that grill using a extra clear marine coatingin order to protect and extend the chrome finish from corrosion.
