The length of boat gas tank sending unit can be changed as long as you want and the center screw can be loosened and easily adjusted by turning and re-tightening. The proper length gives the marine fuel level sending unit the flexibility to swing in the right direction.

In floor 50 gal, fuel tank, fuel level indicator. The holes don't line up, and the bolts are different size. Keep your old bolts, may need to reuse them.

I installed this sending unit in my 2011 Polaris Ranger 400HO. My Ranger only came with a gas cap fuel gauge that was so cloudy it was unreadable. I made a hole in the top of my tank with a hole saw and installed the sending unit. The sending unit came with machine screws, so I had to get some self tappers to screw the sending unit into the plastic tank. I paired this sending unit with a simple round gauge for a factory look.

Compared to >100$ my local marine parts store was asking this is a great value. I checked the resistance with my multimeter and it is spot on. Almost indistinguishable from the big box store ones. Save money and get this

It's a standard mounting pattern so it was easy to install and it works great on my boat.

The sending unit works great! Only issue is with the mounting hardware. The 5/16 head on the screws is very low. I could barely get a socket on them. It also had a slot for a flat tip screwdriver, I Phillip’s head would have been better. I’ll be going to Home Depot to get better screws.

I got this to replace an old boat sender being it was going bad. This thing was simple to install and directions were easy to understand. This works great and is very accurate. The price is spot on for what id pay for the simple unit. Great product.

This worked acceptably with some workarounds. The resistance range worked with the gauge I had, however the float arm occasionally gets caught up on the side of the tank, and the screw that holds the two pieces of the arm together stripped as I was tightening it. I was able to work around these issues by using a different screw, and rotating the float arm just slightly. However I am afraid of the float arm getting stuck on the side of the tank or the screw backing out. I also think I had the bottom nut too tight on the center stud which was grounding out the sending unit. I had to back it off slightly to get a stable reading. Welcome to boat life!
