Art and photos in square frames make an visually appealing impact as wall decor, but square frames & mats can be expensive compared to more common rectangle sizes. These bevel cut mats from MBC Mat Board Center are a better value than some other listings. They are neatly cut, very uniform, and the cost is reasonable for the labor involved. I can attest from personal experience as a retired graphic artist that mat cutting takes good tools, skill, practice, and of course a steady hand. These mats are well-done!Questions have been asked about the color or tone. I've tried to capture the subtle difference in my photograph. The front beveled presentation side is an ever so slightly warm, creamy white. The back side is a cool white. I used these mats on several art groupings in my apartment, and am very pleased with the results. My prints, while varying in style, have a cohesive, thought out look to them using the same mats and frames for consistency.

Wow, so disappointed with these and returning immediately. Chose this brand over other cheaper options because it seems like a legit company. But over 1/2 of the 12 pack of white mats came with marks on them that can't be removed. They are small, but still visible in the frames. Really annoying!
