Wow these things are great. Will fit anything you can cut a foot in that’ll go down into the opening. Add it to the bottom end of a strong pole, rod or post, and bam! You can just screw it into sand or even soft soil.We added a T connection to the top of our rod so it was easier to turn into the earth’s surface. That also can double as a clothesline support. If you don’t want a lucky T up top to make storing it more work, you can use a stout pipe, post or pole as your vertical and then drill a hole through it into which you can slide a cross piece you’ll only use when you install it in terra firma.. You can then remove the cross piece ( key ) and be left with only a vertical post.great for umbrellas, boating, pets, little kids, GOATS ;) and so much more. A+ Sand Anchor

These are perfect for DIY sand anchors. They are easy to attach to the PVC using the included bolts. They auger into sand and silty ground easily. Not sure how these would do with rocky or shale bottoms as we have none around where we boat. I've encouraged friends to buy these and make their own DIY sand anchor.

Initially I had a difficult time finding some PVC that would fit this properly, but then I moved over to the electrical section and found a stick of inch and a half PVC conduit. I used a heat gun to warm up the PVC and make it pliable, then stuffed the screw in it. Once the PVC cooled down, it absolutely grabbed the screw like a vise grip. I ran a nut and bolt through it, but I bet it would last for a little while without any type of hardware. Keep in mind it will only work this way with electrical PVC conduit which is gray. Don't try to do it with white plumbing PVC. It won't work.

I have an aluminum dock on a small lake. Boats make waves all the time, so the dock needs to be secured down. I attached this auger to the bottom of an aluminum pole; with the bolt and lock nut it came with to my dock. 1 pole on each side holds the dock securely. The ground it went into is mucky.

This is a unique and well designed anchor. I plan to use this as a tie-down for my RV awning. This is perfect in sandy or shell soil and very effective in high winds. It's easy to install and when I'm ready to leave the site, I simply unscrew it, put it in a bag and use it at the next campground. This is a well made, versatile product and a good value.

My boat came with an anchor that never holds. These augurs allow me to "park" at the sandbar without drifting. Having two is a bonus because tying up bow and stern means the boat doesn't move in crowded situations. The biggest drawback is the size of the PVC units. I have a pontoon with a lot of storage under the seats so I can store them without problem. If I didn't have adequate storage I don't think I'd want the poles and T-handle getting in the way all the time.

This sand anchor makes setting up a sandbar anchor or floating dock a breeze! It fit perfectly with a 1.5" schedule 40 PVC pipe, and installation was straightforward with the included bolt and nut. The progressive spiral design really helps it drill easily into different types of lake or river bottoms. It's sturdy, lightweight, and the marine-grade material feels durable—no worries about rust or cracking. Perfect for sandbar days or stabilizing a floating dock!

This anchor worked so easily compared to our other one! Lightweight and easy to twist into the sand! Holds well. Good purchase!
