I use this kit all the time. The needles are good. The pins, scissors, and hole puncher have been very helpful with my projects. The mat is my go to mat. I have used the case to hold all my needles and tools it is the perfect size.

Got this for a needle felting class. Has everything I would need to get started.The mat included if a felt melt and not a plastic foam one like other starter kit have. Instructor was impressed with the quality of felt mat for beginners kit.

Good overall. It had plenty of pieces to get started (assuming you have the wool roving). The mat was plenty thick, the needles worked fine, and the other pieces were fine. I did feel like the straight pins were poor quality (at least one was longer than the rest and bent), and the one handle was slightly lopsided, but other than that it is a fine set. I didn’t have the needle breakage problem some people complained about, even after using them for a couple of months.

I only recently got into needle felting and didn't want to invest a lot into a new hobby until l know it will stick. This kit has everything you could need as a newbie to the craft. Everything comes individually packaged in the zippered pouch, which makes for easy portability. The different types of needles and sizes are color-coded with labels on the containers. The felt pad is a thick, high quality platform for working on your projects. The fingercots are leather, which is great. However, one of them (not the thumb) one is a really tight fit, and I have pretty slender fingers. I was a bit confused about what the pins were for, but quickly realized that they help keep your pieces in place on the felt mat or for working on your felting projects. For some reason my kit came with what looks like three glue sticks that we’re not described in the listing. Not that I had a problem with that, but it raised some chuckles in my knitting circle, when we were trying to find out the practical purpose of them for Needle felting.

I recently took a class in needle felting and had so much fun. I don't know if I will stay interested because I have other art that I do. But this is the best kit, especially for the cost! I have just about everything I need for a project I am planning. The only thing I would include is maybe some directions like when to use the various needle sizes and tip types. Also, my kit came with three what looks like mini glue sticks. No mention of them in the Amazon description. I have a mini glue gun, so the glue sticks will certainly be useful.

I'm new to felting. This kit has everything I need to get started. There is a nice selection of different size needles. I would definitely purchase again.
