Sometimes I use coarse grain salt and sometimes fine grain when cooking, so this is the ideal solution to have by my stove. Not a fine finish but rubbed a few drops of olive oil into it since the wood looked really dry and now it looks even better. Will get some tung oil for the next time since you really shouldn't use cooking oils to treat wood long term.I first got a marble dual salt cellar on Amazon but immediately sent it back since the top had a large gap when it was closed. This one is perfectly flat and tight with no gap.

I loved this salt cellar so much I bought 3 more for friends. It is very nice quality compared to others I have used. It is a little more expensive than some but definitely worth it. I love how smooth the top slides, and also how it has a magnet to stop it at the closed position. It is really beautiful and well made.

This divided olive wood holder is well made and beautiful. It works with a magnet in the lid so it swings open and closed. It is perfect for my needs and looks great on the counter as well. A real piece of functional art!

Very pleased with this salt and pepper keeper. The top pivots smoothly and all the surfaces and edges are quite smooth and well finished. The olive wood show very well and is definitely an excellent piece.

This cellar is very well crafted and the wood grain is splendid! It looks amazing in contrast against our dark wood shelf in the kitchen. The wells are deep and wide enough to easily pinch-away ... even with my large man-fingers. The way the top has to spin around to gain access can get a little tricky at times, but the benefits far outweigh this minor obstacle. We keep a comfortable mix of standard salt and coarse black pepper in one side because you rarely have to add one without the other; however, we reserve the other side for kosher/sea salt for those occasions when needed. I highly recommend this item for quality, appearance, and functionality. Be careful!!! There is another S&P cellar online that looks a LOT like this one for roughly half the price, but take some close looks at the pics! The other one doesn't come close to anything I would want to display in my kitchen.

Exactly what I hoped it would be.The olive wood is beautiful.The pivoting lid opens completely.Very easy to get a pinch or more of whatever you fill it with ( salt and pepper here)

This salt keeper works well. It has two compartments as pictured and opens and closes easily. It is large so holds plenty of salt. The olive wood is nice but not the highest grade of polished olive wood. A great value for the price.

Very pleased with my purchase. Great quality and the characteristics of the olive wood are beautiful. Everyone that has seen my salt & pepper keeper have loved it and asked where I got if from.
