I have started using watercolors and gouache in my work, a palette was very much needed.Several are made of synthetic polymers, but I prefer something more sturdy, and natural materials are always better than plastic. When I found out there were ceramic palettes I started researching and found this one. I will describe the elements that I find important:1. Packaging - As a ceramic product you do not want it to break in transit. I was delighted with the packaging. The box is made of thick cardboard, it feels sturdy, it is colorful and well-designed (if you care for that, I do). Easy to open. Inside the palette is well protected by styrofoam.2. Size, Weight, and Design - For working in my studio this one is excellent, at a 7" x7" size and 8 wells with 2 different sizes, this palette was perfect for my needs, considering I am a beginner. This palette is sitting on my work table and I am not moving it around too much. With 1.26 lb (almost 600 gr) and on the thick side, it will not be knocked or flipped easily, which I love. It stays in place. This is not a palette you hold in your hand for too long. It is not a bright white color, but a nice creamy white. It is ceramic and as such has a nice natural feel to it and cleans easily.3. Durability - The palette is of great quality. It is really sturdy, this is not for traveling unless you are planning to set up shop somewhere. If you are going for a hike and having an impromptu watercolor moment, I would recommend a smaller one, which have not found yet (at least ceramic ones). I think that unless I drop it with force on a hard floor this palette will last a very long time. And all of this for $14.95 is a great dealSummary: Great quality, great price, excellent for studio work, not recommended for traveling. As it suits my needs 100% I give it 5 stars.

I absolutley love this palette. I wasn't sure exactly what to expect, but it is just the right size (doesn’t take up too much room on my table), the wells are nice and deep, and it offers assorted sizes to reduce wasting expensive paint. You can stir paint and it is heavy enough that it doesn't move. I wish I had known of this palette 3 years go when I started watercolor painting! LOVE it.

This is wonderful watercolor palette. I prefer ceramic because it does not stain like plastic, It's easy to clean, and I just like the feel in my hands. It also stays put on my work bench while I'm painting. Great product.

I love the quality and depth of the paint wells in this ceramic palette. Smooth surface, easy to clean and just the right weight. Color: white.

This dish is well made and has deep wells for mixing. It is lightweight and perfect for watercoloring. The dish is lightweight and well made. Shipment was fast and I've been using it since I got it. I love it!

The size of each well allows for mixing a good amount of paint. The number of wells allows for a lot of variety. It’s hefty and well made. Very happy with this purchase.

I love this mixing palette. On the plus side, there are 8 wells to work with. Easy to clean. The ceramic surface is great.Downside: It's heavy. I wouldn't bring this on a road trip. I don't want to risk breaking this.

I like the size, quality. I bring it to my watercolour class. I use them for dégradé of one colour from dark to light. Bought 2 and previously bought 2 of the smaller ones.

The underside of the center of the palette is slightly more prominent than the corners. Because of this, the "feet" of the palette are not level, which means the palette will wobble if set on a flat surface.

Hab mir diese Mischpalette für Gouache Farben gekauft und finde sie toll. Es ist genug Platz für die Farben, als auch zum Anmischen neuer Farben. Denke mal das sie für alle Wasserfarben geeignet sind. Für Acryl- und Ölfarben finde ich die Kuhlen etwas eng, um die angetrockneten Farben restlos zu entfernen, hab es aber noch nicht probiert.

My first reaction when I pulled it out of the box was the pleasant surprise that it was bigger than I expected. That's always a good thing. Second, was the quality of the make. It is solid, hefty without being heavy. The palette is smooth with no hills and valleys that could cause pooling. The wells are nice and deep which I found was great when mixing my colors and getting the last drops off my brush before cleaning to switch/add more colors. I did two quick (if such a thing is possible in watercolors... sigh... exercise in patience) pictures, both heavy with wet-on-wet to take advantage of the deep wells. The paint dried faster than the paper ;) and revived quickly when moving on to the next step in the adventure. Another bonus to the deep wells, I found that it was really easy to clean one well without fear of loosing or contaminating the others colors/wells I wanted to keep - I've never been able to do that before. Very handy.Would I recommend? In a heart-beat!

I love this ceramic palette! No more beading in my watercolour as I am mixing or getting the colours I need ready for a project. It is an awesome size, nice and sturdy, great quality and I am in love with it after just one use!! Thank you Meeden for such an amazing ceramic palette!â¤PS. It is BIG so not great for traveling. Only reason why I didn't give it an all round 5 stars! Nothing Wrong with it, just not the most compact for travel. Still 100% amazing though!
