How to install the zipper replacement
OPEN ENDED ZIPPER ：You can use this type of zippers on jackets, construction clothing, coats, sweatshirts, hoodies, vests.
Replacement is very simple
- Remove top stop, remove the old slider
- Install new slider and top stop
CLOSED ENDED ZIPPER：Those zippers that do not separate at the bottom，commonly found on tents,backpacks,bags.
- Cut a small opening from the end of the tape, remove some teeth
- Remove the old slider from the gap
- Install a new slider from the gap in the tape, paying attention to the direction that the two holes of the slider are facing upwards
- Use a needle to sew the gap of the tape and install the Bottom stop
Please move the slider up and down to test the function after completing the above operations, polish the zipper teeth with wax or spray to make the zipper smoother and easier to move

The pull tab broke off the zipper slider on my favorite messenger bag. There was no way I could replace the whole zipper; just needed a new zipper slider. This zipper slider repair kit worked great. Measure across the width of your closed zipper "teeth" and if the measure is 1/4-inch, the zipper sliders in this repair kit will fit. I pulled/wiggled off the old, broken zipper slider and pushed/wiggled on the new zipper slider and saved my favorite messenger bag. Instead of squeezing on the provided tiny zipper-slider stops, I applied a couple of drops of superglue.

Since it is a little unclear in the description, I wanted to point out that this pack includes a pretty wide variety of #5 sized zippers. As such, I was able to use one to replace a #5-7 and a #5-Vislon slider on two separate jackets, which was exactly what I was hoping for. The slides are solid and seem of good quality, and now I hope to get a few more years out of the jackets.

Zipper slider on my old leather jacket broke and I figured I'd have to replace the entire zipper. Watched a couple of videos and ordered this kit. My zipper was labeled YBS 5. These sliders fit perfectly and the bronze color was perfect. Remove the stop at the top with wire snips - this is the hardest part. Just work with it and don't cut the zipper fabric. Remove old slider and slide the new one in. Replace the stop. My old stop broke so I used one included with the kit. The new stops are all silver, would be better if some were bronze colored but really no problem. Jacket ready for next winter! (Now I have to store the rest of the zipper sliders that I'll probably never use.)

I tried all 3 colors of zippers on the jacket needing a new zipper using instructions I found online. The install was fine, but the zipper would not close the teeth. It would zip up and down smoothly, but the teeth would not align more than 1-2 times over 10 attempts. I double checked my original zipper thinking I purchased the wrong size, but I got the correct size. The zipper slider just does not work.
