This adds a unique sound to your ride cymbal. It's very affordable. Easy to put on and easy to take off. It would be interesting to get multiple types of sizzlers & compare them all in real time & record it all. It's on my to-do list.

This cymbal sizzler is awesome. I tried it on my Pearl CX300 18" crash/ride cymbal and it really brings out the notes of each hit. It helps to hear the sizzle while continuing to hold down the beat. It stretches the notes instead of a plain cymbal sound that dies out quickly. For me it adds a nice texture to the cymbal. I experimented with it by testing it on each cymbal. Instead of using it on the crashes, I found it sounded best on the 18" crash/ride cymbal. This is a great add on and I recommend that each drummer has one to add a unique sound to any cymbal and see which cymbal it sounds best on for you.

I used to have cymbals with rivets drilled into them, but once that's done the cymbal is forever altered. This is a great way to get that sound without doing anything permanent. The only thing I don't like is that sometimes the beads get wrapped around the nut in the middle of the cymbal. But they are easy to install and use, and very affordable, and they give a good sizzle sound. Not quite as pronounced as if you'd drilled holes and placed rivets, but still noticeable.

This is a very inexpensive alternative to drilling and riveting your cymbals. The chain is jus the right weight and this thing fits anywhere. I think I have three of them now. I love 'em. You will too.

Meh. The product is fine. It's a solid thing but, not much added. It's under 10 bucks. If you're recording it might add a neat texture? All and all its useless in a live setting (note: I use hot rods and broom sticks, I play quietly)

These work well made by Meinl which is a good music instrument company. The strip plays on top of the cymbal and when the cymbal is hit it makes a sizzling sound.

This little sizzler is super sick. Cymbal “Bacon†by Meinl is a cool addition to any cymbal with some size I’d say. I prefer it on my 22†Zildjian K Dark Ride. It leave a really cool sizzle sound at the end of a strike with a stick. It’s a great sound when playing. When playing with the top of your stick you can hear it pretty well on a ride but it really produces the most sizzle when you rock that cymbal hard with the stick just right. I think I’ll be buying another one for a 20†crash I love too. Seeing how this works out first. So far it’s fun and you can hear it well in recordings. It’s 100% worth the price. Super cheap item for a super sick sound on your kit.
