Great little cajon for mounting on your hi-hat stand (or an extra mic stand, etc.) Good sound for a little drum.

This is a really nice addition to my percussion setup. I mounted it on my 15" concert tom tom to play at drum circles. Sounds just like the snare on my cajon!

It's not bad, but wish the sound was a bit sharper and louder. The problem is it doesn't stay square on the rod when you strike it. It veers to either side no matter how hard you tighten it. It would be much better if the rod it attached to was redesigned.

Unfortunately, this thing is junk. I've had two of them. First one came with my Meinl Cajon Drum Set and was split down the middle during shipping, so I bought a replacement. The replacement arrived intact but then started to split down the side in a couple of days. I don't play hard and I usually play with some kind of brush, never sticks. The sound is okay, but if you want a snare for your Cajon drum-set, go with LP's new 10-inch snare Cajon, the round one. It sounds great with the rest of the Meinl Cajon drum kit.

Ich wollte wegen Rückenschmerzen nicht auf Cajon verzichten und somit kam die Anschaffung eines Pedal und dieser Snare. Hatte vorab nur Rezensionen gelesen und auf youtube videos angesehen und bin jedoch für Preis/Leistung sehr zufrieden bislang. Schöner Klang sowohl mit den Besen als auch mit den Rods. Sound passt gut zum Klang der Cajon und somit für mich eine Kaufempfehlung!

The product I received seemed to have been played the paint has worn away and it didn’t come with the protective rubber that goes over the drum overall very disappointed

Lo he utilizado cinco veces en total, una en un concierto,tres en ensayo y la última en la prueba de sonido antes de otro concierto y justo ahà se partió por la la mitad literalmente, siempre la he tocado con baquetas rodes para no dañar, perlo se le levanta la pintura por menos de nada, y la fabricación es muy mala, ya en uno de los ensayos la bordonera(los alambres internos) se despegaron.Por lo que vale, merece la pena comprarse un cajón o cualquier otro instrumento de percusión, este solo os va dar disgustos o dejaros tirados en medio de un concierto.

Very dry and controlled sound. High pitched percussion. I tried different things like HOT RODS, Brushes and Hands.Hot Rods and MCS1 is perfect for modern sounds. So in love with this product. Cant wait to go back home and play this crazy thing.
