We love all things Melissa & Doug and this one did not disappoint. Kept my toddler busy and it turned out great. Does have small pieces so keep a close watch when using with young children.

My daughter wanted to have some kind of wooden toy building kit for her 10th birthday party, so we needed 12 items for a mix of boys and girls ranging in age from 5 to 10. I was amazed at how expensive many wooden toy kits are, despite many poor reviews talking about them falling apart, having cracked wood pieces, etc.Then I saw these 3 packs from Melissa and Doug. I've found they typically have good products, and these definitely added to that good reputation!Each vehicle in the pack of 3 is a self contained unit with everything you'll need - glue, paint, brush, stickers. The vehicles were easy to assemble, and the stickers were a nice addition to the paint because the younger children who weren't as good at the painting could just put stickers on and have a pretty good looking result.The glue that came with them is just Elmer's. We did have to glue the wheels first, then wait while that dried before painting and putting stickers on. Fortunately, the party was long enough for all that. If you have a shorter time frame, you might want to pre-glue the wheels.As a bonus, since each kit comes packed in it's own wooden tray, it was easy to send each kid home with left over paint/stickers and their toy, even though the paint wasn't dry yet. The kids all liked them a lot!!

Really unique and fun. Unless you get the glue just right the wheels may not turn. One of my three kits was missing a paint brush.

These were a gift for a 4 year old boy. He loved painting them and plays with them frequently. They are very sturdy.

I bought these as a gift for a 6 year old who loves painting, building, & cars! One year later and the child still actively plays with these cars! I’d say they were a great, budget friendly gift!

Purchased this for our daughter. She recently became a big sister and we wanted her to have "big sister activities" that she could do with us when her little brother is napping.These sets are perfect! Each set comes with everything needed to complete the vehicle. (Paint, brushes and glue) The fact that we don't have to gather everything each time we have some down time is a huge plus! Minimal set up time. We can complete a single vehicle at a time. Keeps our 2 year old busy.We love it!

My just 5 year old son loved painting the vehicles. He needed help gluing the wheels on, and they required a bit of jiggling to fit on the axles. He put the stickers in unexpected spots, but he had fun.
