We bought this for my daughter’s 3rd birthday present two years ago, and she absolutely loves this fishing toy kit. She turning 5 and still plays with it almost every other day. She loves to go “fishing,†and report back to us her catch of the day! She is truly an expert fishermen now, and loves learning all about the different species on these beautifully crafted wooden toys. This toy kit has 21-pieces of: high quality detailed wooden fish, two fishing rods, two fishing IDs, bait, fishing badge, a fishing identification card, measurer, tackle box, activity cards, net, and two water mat fishing area. The best thing? Everything fits back nicely in the carry box! No lose piece that get lost over time!My only complaint is we noticed that the fishing rod string comes undone, and falls off. Which can be a pain to rethread the fishing pole. After several times of fixing this, I decided to get our handy dandy crazy glue, I tied it, and applied a little glue to the base of the reel where the fishing string was attached. That fixed it perfectly! No more fishing line coming undone! This isn’t a dealbreaker, I would still absolutely recommend this for your little fisherman in your life! It’s a wonderful educational tool to learn about fishing and wildlife! You won’t regret this purchase!

I got this for Christmas last year and was definitely too early for her to use. Now that she’s older she loves playing with it, it’s both hard and easy, but in a good way. Follow the age recommendations. Helps with hand eye coordination. Good solid wood quality like most Melissa and Doug products. Would love to fill our house with more toys like this. It’s held up and will be able to make it through several kiddos based on the quality

perfect for little kiddos. Can take some time for the hook to cling on a fish but its fun and easy to use, bue bin didnt close as well not sure if its for all but got this as a gift now purchased for our nephew so that our boys can enjoy playing with other friends and family.
