This worked great on my recent trip to NY/NJ where temps varied from 20s to low 40s. Whether I used it simply as a gaitor/scarf or twisted it into a different item, it was comfortable and useful. The instructions for using this item as a cap or balaclava were useful and this worked well in those configurations. The extra length allows this to work really well as a full balaclava. This gaitor is a single, light layer of wool, so when using it, you'll want multiple layers to really keep warm. In the cap configuration, it is a thin cap that works in cold, but not bitter, windy cold. What worked best for bitter cold was for me to use this as a balaclava with another ski cap on top, or as a mask with a separate hat. When used that way, the lightweight wool is really an asset, as it is easy to breath through without much condensation and it dries quickly.I'm from Florida and generally feel cold when temps drop below 65. I think this will be a great product to keep in my car for when the temperature drop, and I'll definitely throw it into my bag when traveling.

I bought a second one. Great must have for keeping warm. Well constructed and a better price point than other name brands. Made exactly where you would expect it to be made, not in the USA

Soooo nice! Used this on a trip to SE China (HK, Dongguan, Nansha, etc). Kept my neck warm when I needed it to.I also used as an eyemask, which was a little tight on my giant noggin. Same as a head restraint. Also used as a pillow case for a cheap inflatable pillow I brought with me that has a sharp edge to it. You could use it the same way with an airline pillow, to avoid germs (and wash it later).I'm not a person who thinks these things are stylish elements, the are totally utilitarian in my book. But they are super-lightweight and effective at a bunch of different things. Why buy a wool buff instead of a cheap poly one? You don't have to as the synthetic are fine, but the wool will be more durable, is and will remain softer and won't pick up weird odors along the way.

I don't have a very big neck, I suppose just average for a dude, but I do think this is just a little bit snug. Not much, but it could certainly be 10% bigger around. I know a one size fits all is a tough ask, but in that case I think you have to error on the side of larger, or at the very least maybe have a his and hers or small and large. But overall it's very soft and I can certainly make it work.

I needed something to cover my neck during my cold morning, long distance ebike rides. This works perfectly. Keeps my mouth area and neck warm from the wind chill when riding around 20 mph on the bike path. Simply awesome.

I used this while in Iceland last October. It was freezing cold, and I was so happy I had this! It did seem a little sheer, but it was very similar to the brand name buffs in the outdoor stores. This was nice and long and was perfect to wear around my neck, or to go on my head. I used this mostly as a thick headband so I could still wear my hair in a pony or a bun. I also figured out how to twist this into a hat, which came in handy on a few chilly nights! I would def recommend this - it was a great deal and I will continue to use this for all of my camping and hiking trips!

I’m a petite woman and I can’t get it to stay up on my face. It’s too big. I bought it to protect my face from the cold. Will need to sew or pin it. Would probably be fine for larger heads/necks. The fabric is soft and not itchy.

I wore this for a week long trip in Iceland at the beginning of the month. It made the cold and the wind very manageable! It dries quickly and even keeps you warm when it’s damp! I’d buy this again!
