I prefer these low volume heads because you can actually get a good tone from them. Tuning up the bottom resonant head helps a lot. That way it sounds like you're playing a musical instrument and not a cardboard box.

For low volume and natural feel these are a great option. The only issue I would have is the snare head. Might try something else hard to get a great response with snare wire but very happy

These things are great. Teaching my kid drums and they are as silent as need, but still have some tone.
