New to playing lap styles, and I've got long fingers, so manipulating this will take some getting used to. I have a glass slide I use with my guitar but didn't quite have the sound I was looking for. Watched numerous videos and noticed that they who regularly play dobro use this, sonwhatbthe heck, try jt. Works exactly as advertised. Gets the sound I was looking for, now to learn more about how to play.

The slide looks great but because it has some laquer finish it doesn't slide smoothly. It drags and gums up. Then after removing the finish on it and polishing it to a mirror finish, it has proven to be unusable since the metal is so soft that it galls and grinds on the wound strings leaving glittery dust on the fingerboard. So, if you want a bar slide, go buy one that has a decent chrome finish on it or is made of ChromeMoly or other hard metal. Avoid this product.

Sorry, I can't recommend this slide. The plating began to wear off after only 20 mins of playing and the rough surface just caused a grinding, squealing noise moving around the strings. Sent it back a day later.There is a reason why quality slides are priced at $30 or more. Wait til you have that thirty and buy a better slide.

my previous one was quite heavy and squat , it was hard to hold/handle ... this one is much easier to use.
