So I waited a long time to review this because honestly I lost it after the package arrived but I finally found it and was able to use it and it's exactly what I was hoping for and came with a decent pair of no cut gloves. If I run out I'll definitely buy this again.

The gloves sealed the deal! What a thoughtful vendor! That metal strapping is really razor sharp! Can’t recommend the product enough!

Reduced my house and used this to hang all the ducts to the rafters. Worked perfectly. And the gloves they gave to handle the material was awesome, otherwise your hands could get cut up since it’s kinda sharp material.

BACKGROUND:Sometimes, you have to wonder if Amazon is spying on you. I noticed that my garage door opener was moving around a bit more than normal the other day and upon closer examination, it seems that one of the straps that connected it to the exposed rafters in my garage was no longer intact. I have not done any web searches for replacement straps, but Amazon Vine had this on my suggestions the other day and I figured it was exactly what I needed to replace the broken strap. I'm not sure how they are spying since I don't have their Echo device though.Or it could just be a lucky coincidence... :)INITIAL OBSERVATIONS:It's a metal strap with holes punched into it, so there's really not that much that can be said about it. Although it is galvanized, I'm using it indoors, so the only "moisture" that it should ever be exposed to is just our humidity (which is usually quite high, being that I'm located in the SE Texas Gulf Coast area.At $20 for 50 ft, it's probably a bit more expensive than what you might find at one of the big box home improvement stores, but it's not like the seller is going to be including the gloves for free, right? You're paying for the convenience and this is 20 gauge (i.e. thicker) instead of the 28 gauge that I saw at the big box home improvement store. As such, I would say that it was probably a fair price.COMPLAINTS / ISSUES:The edges on something like this can be a bit sharp sometimes, but that is not unexpected and interestingly, they even include a set of gloves with the product to protect your hands (or to keep you from complaining about the edges being sharp). They are a cotton knit type and although they stretch quite a bit, they were too small for my hands. They would probably work well enough for someone with more normal size hands though.IMPRESSIONS:Although they advertise it for supporting / hanging pipe, it is the exact same type of strap that was used when the garage door opener was installed at my house many years ago (before I even bought the house around 20 years ago). So, if it has worked well enough for this long, I guess it is a good enough solution to continue with. Statistically speaking, the odds are that I will be taking a dirt nap by the time this fails in another 20-30 years.CONCLUSION:This is a perfectly serviceable product and I can find no reason to deduct any points from my rating of it. As such, it gets a 3-star (i.e. "average") rating.STAR RATING SCALE:1 -- Poor product; Waste of money at ANY price; Blatant lies in the original listing.2 -- Below average product; Something about it is a bit lacking; It could be conflicted specifications or errors in the original listing or that it was arrived with damage that was unlikely to have occurred during shipping and should have been caught in either the manufacturer's or seller's quality control.3 -- Average product; Meets expectations, perfectly serviceable, but does not do anything that sets it apart from similar products; Does not have some features that makes me say, "Wow, that's a neat feature".4 -- Above average product; Something about it sets it a bit above similar products on the market.5 -- Excellent product (or perhaps customer service); There is NO room for improvement whatsoever; NOTHING is perfect, so this rating *should* be EXTREMELY difficult to achieve.Ordered:2024-02-18Received:2024-02-21Reviewed:2024-02-21

This galvanized metal strapping worked well for my purposes. Here are my thoughts:- I used it to secure a bunch of shelves to the wall so they wouldn't wall over. It worked great for that purpose, and the holes in the strapping made it easy to screw in both sides.- The metal strapping feels strong and doesn't break easily, but is also flexible enough to mould it to the shape you need with just your hands.- Pro tip: it's actually pretty hard to cut this stuff with normal tools like wire cutters or scissors (don't try it). I used a tool often called an "aviation snip" that is meant for cutting metal, and cut through it easily.Current title: AxiSculpt Galvanized Metal Pipe Strap 3/4-Inch x 50-Feet 24-Gauge for Pipe Support Pipe Hanger Strap Metal Strapping with Hole Flexible TrimmingMy rating system: 5 stars = performs as expected, 4 stars = small flaws, 3 stars = major flaws, 2 stars = barely usable, 1 star = trash

Good galvanized strapping, has the large and small holes alternating so you can adjust to the screws you're using. Hold strong and so far seems to withstand rust while directly under waterflow.Good sized roll will do a lot of drains and pipe attachments. It even comes with a pair of gloves to help prevent you from cutting your fingers. It can be rather sharp metal, especially the ends where you've cut them off, so if you don't have such a pair that you're willing to sacrifice I guess this is a nice bonus.

This is fairly standard strapping which we use for supporting our plumbing pipes against the floor joists in the basement. We have a major bathroom renovation coming in the spring so I ordered this to use at that time.Having worked with these types of products in the past I can say this is decent quality, heavier than some and in a large roll so you have lots for most plumbing jobs. This package includes gloves to protect your hands when working with this product because it can be sharp. The only issue I have with this product is that it's slightly more expensive than a same product at your local hardware store. I wasn't sure why it was more expensive and honestly, I'm still not. It's a good product but there's nothing about it that really jumps out at me.I'm giving it 4 stars because overall it's a very good product.

I wanted to test the strength of this metal strap and so I cut out 12 inches of the strap using an aviation snip. The cut was simple, just like cutting through sheet metal. With the 12 inch strap I fastened one end to my wall and the other end was wrapped around a 25 lb. dumbbell (see picture). I had the strap holding the 25 lb. dumbbell for over a minute and the strap did not break. If you are using the strap to hold up pipes, the result of my simple test should hopefully give you confidence in the strength of this strap. I'm satisfied with it holding up my pipes.
