Much better quality than the original cheap plastic one on camper screen which cracked and fell apart. This one fit perfectly where the prior one was. Easy to install.

Better than the oem latch. I really wish it was all metal. The plastic latch on the OEM had more flex but these alway seem to break at the box. This product has a metal handle but a plastic box. So less flex but still plastic where it normally breaks. It does have a 3rd screw hole so hopefully that helps but again, I wish it was all metal. I’d have no problem pay much more money for an all metal assembly.Final comment is that the screw hole are a little bit over 3 inches, not 3 inches like the description says. However, the difference was small enough that I could still use the same holes in the screen door. I was also able to reuse the oem striker and door catch, so I only needed to replace the handle.

This made a good replacement for my door latch. It was easy to install and the material is better than the OEM plastic.

The bolt holes for the latch didn't line up exactly with my old ones but it was close enough that I was able to get them screwed in. Then just a minor adjustment on the striker and it was all set.Working good so far and feels more sturdy than the original.

The handle is the only part that is metal. The main body is still plastic, and in my case is the part that keeps failing.

This simple update, going from plastic to metal, is surprisingly satisfying.If you think about it, it is one of the most used item on any RV. With the included shims, I was able to get the perfect fit between the latch and the striker.

Last year I got hugely annoyed with latches being destroyed by the wind or my kids slamming the screen door.With some other plastic options I ended with a lot of frustration due to extra holes required and difficult positioning to make them work right.This one worked immediately and the metal handle looks quite difficult to break.Installed now about 4 months ago and still working great.

The handle itself is metal but the whole piece isn't. The installation part that attaches to the trailer is plastic, which is the part I actually wanted metal.
