Bought these for my congas. And got rid of the the steel floor stands.They mount nicely and keep my mic. Right on the sweet spotBought 3 because the one I had has lasted 30plus years.I wouldn't expect anything less from L.P.

I use this LP claw for my microphone on my conga drums. It’s very sturdy strong and gets the job done. I recommend this for your microphone and instrumental needs.

I have a set of old Audio-Technica side-address condenser mics that I absolutely love on toms, but they're too heavy and too side-address for any gooseneck-type drum mount. The LP Claw holds my mics in exactly the place I've set them to be, without any noticeable wobble. This new LP Claw also fixed all the issues I found with the old ones - it's smaller and lighter and has rubber gaskets on the clamp so it won't leave scars on my hoops.The new Z-arm is made of aluminum, so it's also just flexible enough that you can bend it a little by hand to get that perfect placement. I do wish they'd kept the infinite rotation adjustment on the clamp itself, but I can make do.
