I bought this for my GE JVM 6175 SK3SS microwave. I looked at dozens of purveyors of this filter and double-checked the model # of my microwave AND the approved GE part to make absolutely certain that the ad and GE's model numbers were a match.They numbers were a match but the parts were not. The replacement part it looks like it's a higher quality part. The aluminum frame is slightly heavier and the filter has a metal grill on both sides. Therein lies the issue. The additional grill makes the filter thicker than the original filter. It's slight but a few 1000ths of an inch makes all the difference. There is a protusion in the filter compartment that pinches the filter to hold it in place. You would end up breaking that tab off trying to force the compartment door closed. I thought about using a screwdriver and hammer to create an indentation to make it work but decided not to.There are two filters in this pack, making the unit cost $6.35. The GE OEM part is almost $24 but I'm banking on that part fitting my appliance.

Fits great. Had to replace the old one because my son burt popcorn in it. This has really helped eliminate a lot of the smoke smell from the microwave.
