These charcoal replacement filters are the right size for my 25-year-old GE Profile microwave oven. My microwave only uses one filter, so with this pack of two, I now have next year's replacement filter on hand.Personally, I find it hard to evaluate this filter as you never know how much odor is being captured by the filter and what's passing through unimpacted by the charcoal. For that reason, I can't find any reason to give it less than five stars.

Turned out my GE SpacemakerXL doesn’t have a charcoal filter installed at all. Found this one for a fraction of a cost from the original ($59). Works great, easy installation. It’s not snug fit, but I don’t think it’s supposed to be

I never realized I needed to change out a charcoal filter for the microwave. In my situation, my microwave had a slot for one, but didn't have a filter installed. Low and behold, I opened the compartment where the filter was supposed to be installed, and saw there was no filter there.It took a phillips-head screwdriver the removal of the top grill to install. Keep in mind to open the door first before trying to slide the grill down or you may snap a tab. I found that out the hard way.Great filter once all installed! It doesn't smell like burned charcoal any more. I have never changed one out in the 13 years I've had the microwave!
