This product was very useful. Doors did not have top locks and this product made it easy to add the needed hole for installing a top lock. Would recommend and order again.

Works fine to make holes in your door where you want them. Used these from different brands over the years and they all work mostly the same, this is on par with others for how well it works. Price is fine and within the range of competing kits. The hole saws are definitely the weakest part of this kit and they get the job done but depending on the door material you may see these struggling if you're trying to do more than a door or two in a go. It works though and if you're just doing a couple doors then it will be just fine.

Familiar with the Milescraft brand so I tried out this product when installing in a new door. The hole saws made very quick work of the door and are worth the price of the jig alone.Very simple and easy to read instructions. I had more trouble fumbling around with the door knob. When putting the hardware in I was able to adjust the position a bit to get right where I wanted and cover the big hole. The screw holes from mounting wound up in same location as latch plate so there was nothing to repair afterwards.Needed to use a wrench to separate the drill bit from the hole saw but this is nothing new based on past experience.

I found this to be very useful! I was hesitant because I saw a bad review, but that review is incorrect. Since this is a bi-metal hole saw, the teeth are extended a bit further than the body of the saw. Therefore the diameter of the bushing needs to be a bit larger so the teeth can fit through.I used this to install a deadbolt on two exterior doors and it worked excellent. Deadbolt went right in! No complaints here and another great product from Milescraft!

Overall. It does the job with difficulty. Alignments of small lock hole with large knob hole is not controlled so attention must be paid while drilling to making sure their intersection is correct. The red movable center hole pops out when drilling. Instructions are way too small in size.Disassembly of adapter from large hole saw required a bench vice & a impact hammer. Support is poor or non existent

I'm a landlord and do my fair share of door replacing. I hate paying extra for a door that's pre-drilled and half the time, they're out of them and then I don't have a choice. This is perfect for drilling out your standard interior doors and some exterior doors. The offset is pretty standard. Installing the tool is as simple as putting two screws in it. It would be nice if they included more than two screws, but you can always use the ones that are included with a new door handle. The body of the tool is solid and rigid enough for occasional use or for the home owner trying to save a buck or two. I wish the drill bits were just a little better. The teeth are not that great and it is going to make drilling about as smooth as a fast drive down an old dirt road. When you start making contact with the door wood, keep it light and steady if you like your wrist. I have my own set that has large holes on the side to make plug removal a lot easier. There's nothing bad about these hole bits. I just expect a little more from Milescraft. You will need a wrench to get the bit shaft off. That's normal. The bit creates a lot of torque as it's cutting and it's going to be screwed on tighter when you get through. It's a good value, all-in-one kit for drilling a few doors out every once in a while but you're not going to get every day use out of it. It's gonna save me lots of time, money and aggravation.
