Keep your shop organized and eliminate air hose tripping hazards with this 50-foot, 1/2" Milton 2780-50D Steel Dual-Arm Auto-Retracting air hose reel. These reels are built to last, with all steel construction, a sturdy dual arm design, solid brass fittings, and a 3/8" x 50' EPDM rubber hose that is rated to 300 PSI. Great for most everyday applications.
Operation:
Simply pull out hose to the desired length, listening for the clicks. Hose reel has 12 clicks per rotation to lock in place at nearly any length. To retract, simply pull a little more hose until the clicks stop, then guide the hose back into the reel as it retracts. Caution: Never let the hose whip back into the reel unguided. When hanging from a ceiling, use the adjustable ball stop so the hose is high enough that it is out of your way, yet still within reach.

Bought this big bad boy to replace my 25 ft 3/8†air hose reel. It’s sold and heavy duty. It’s also physically heavy so make sure you mount this to the wall studs or a solid board.Easy installation and quality fittings. One recommendation. Make sure the feeder hose from your compressor to the reel is larger than the reel’s hose. I have a 3/4†feeder hose going to this reel.Very happy with the purchase.

Overall I am happy with the retractable hose real. The hose is nice and made out of sturdy material and has good flexibility considering the size. It didn't come with the small connecting hose, but not a big deal to make one. I would buy another. I will update you with a supplemental review in the future about performance.

This is a great unit. However I did notice some things. 1st off, it leaked. Not a big deal as the fittings were just loose at the hub so I tightened them and no more leak. 2nd the reel seemed to have a hard time bringing the hose back. I have the 1/2†hose which does take up a bunch of space on the reel but doesn’t contact anything. So here’s how I fixed it. Warning: don’t let the reel unwind, maintain control the whole time! Pull some hose out and lock the reel. Remove the black retaining ring at the end that allows you to adjust the lead length. Now, unlatch the reel and let the hose wind through the “window†of rollers and stop. Now hold the hose end against the reel and rotate the whole assembly around one or two turns (1 worked for me). This will preload the spring more. Pass the hose end back through the “window†of rollers and lock the reel. Attached the retainer at the desired spot and test. Repeat until your satisfied.Lots of people complaining that the reel barely returns, I think it’s just a poor QC on Miltons part but easily fixed and is a great unit.

I have the model with 1/2†hose. The unit is mounted on the wall in my garage and will not wind up the hose without me standing next to it and helping it along. I’ve adjusted the spring tension as mentioned in other reviews. The unit itself is decent quality for the money but the weak spring is something that the manufacturer should have addressed before hand. My guess is the spring is designed for the smaller 3/8†hose. That said, I can not recommend this brand of hose reel.

Great product. Quality as advertised. I bought this for use at home and should have bought the 3/8 hose. The half inch is a little large. But still an awesome reel.

The steel construction is sturdy, but the 50 ft. hose feels cumbersome and difficult to handle. Not worth the price due to the operational issues.
