I struggled with some cheap HF step drills they were smoking and not cutting the stainless I was trying to drill. Ordered up this bit and had a clean hole for a disposal switch cut in 2.6 seconds.

Pricey but cuts well for a long time. Been using one on the job for a couple years now and it's still going strong. Just ordered a second one as a back-up.
