I use children's cooking tools from IKEA in my camping kit so I am use to small things, but this maybe going too far. These items run into the problem of being small enough to pack easily, but too small to include enough ingredients to be useful. I could possibly use them up over two or three meals.

I was excited about these little spice vials right up until the time when I figured out that NONE OF THEM will pour even granulated salt, let alone something with volume like dried herbs! If you are going to use them, you will need to open the top completely and dispense by dumping. Not quite what I had in mind. On the plus side, the little spoons that come with it are pretty cool. If you're going to spend $20, choose a product that works!

This little kit comes in handy and works perfectly....maybe not for granulated salt ....smh. Lol....but they work just fine for my "spices".....IYKYK....if you don't....then I guess you'll be using them in your actual kitchen. Stay safe!

I wanted a spice kit (in fact I have been searching for one) to use when I fly. I take many 12 hour plus flights every year, and the problem I have is that the little salt, pepper, sugar, fake creamer, and seldom other spices that are provided are both hard to use and too tiny to be effective. I had even taken to saving ones that I didnt use and packing them into my carry on so that I had a better choice of spices at 40,000 feet.Anyway about this kit. Do I believe in my heart that it is useful for the depicted uses in the Amazon listing. NO WAY. There is absolutely no way that these would hold CLOSE to enough for me to cook for camping or even a day out at the park. I have no idea who would be able to cook with these on an outing they simply do not hold enough of any spice to cook (hence the losing a star).However for my purpose they are absolutely great! As spices for ONE person on a plane at 40,000 feet, they work spectacularly. They hold enough for 3-4 meals (which is what I usually have on one of my halfway around the world trips), and I can fill up again at my destination for the flight back.The little scoops/spoons included are both necessary and adorable. The bottles are too small to use (without just dumping) without them, and the spoon let you use a more measured amount of whatever you are using. The bottles, so far, (fingers crossed), do not leak and contain the condiments/spices well. For the stated purpose in my opinion these are not useful. However for MY purpose these seem to be just the ticket. I guess my advice is this is recommended if your purpose aligns well with the size.

Nice set. A lot of different goodies that are useful and handy. This is great for camping and keeping some herbs and spices together and easy to find. Everything in the kit is well made and looks as if it will last for many trips. Good gift for any camper.

This is such an interesting design. I go camping and love to cook so I have a few spice kits already. When this popped ip in my Amazon feed, I decided to try it for the primary reason of it looking really cool. It reminds me of an apothecary kit with the medieval style picks and oddly colored containers. The real item looks exactly as photo’d so it definitely is an accurate representation of what you’ll get. I loaded it with spices and it works well. The mechanism to open and close the vials to dispense the powders is a little tight and since they’re such small latches, it takes a bit of effort. The glass and metal vials themselves are quaint looking but are very small so it’ll work for one person on a 3-4 day cooking trip but won’t be enough if you’re cooking for a small group of campers.The cleaning brushes and funnel, as well as hard side case, are all nice inclusions and you’ll definitely need the cleaning brushes due to how intricate the open/closing mechanism is on the lids.In summary - this is a unique option for a camping spice carrying kit but the containers are quite small. The latches, and open/close mechanism is intricate which may cause complications later on. If you’re into Renaissance Fair and cooking while you’re dressed up, this would be the perfect kit - but if that’s the intended use case, the manufacturer should include a leather bag instead of a plastic case for this set. I’m still giving it 4 stars for the simple fact that it looks pretty cool. For anyone looking for functionality over form, this isn’t the right kit, since container size, ease of cleaning, and a simple screw cap option would prevail for functionality sake.
