What are Artkal Beads?

How to Use Artkal Beads?
STEP1
Place Artkal fuse beads on a pegboard following patterns or your designs.
STEP2
Cover with ironing paper, and run an iron in a circular motion for about 10 seconds. Allow the beads to cool, and heat the opposite side the same way. (Note: Artkal beads are made from food-grade polyethylene, which is stronger and more durable than regular plastic and has a little higher melting point, so sometimes it may take a little longer to iron than other brands of beads.)
STEP3
Wait a few minutes for the artwork to cool.

Perfect size for my perler beads, I got tired of using my big iron and burning myself. Heats up pretty fast too so, be careful. Lol

This little iron is perfect for the project I need it for. However, once it’s on and you go to turn the dial to turn it off the surface that holds the dial is very hot and you can burn yourself. I would not recommend this for child use and adult should be careful as well.

The Artkal Mini Iron is good for crafting or sewing, but I wouldn’t consider it a travel iron, unless you’re sewing or crafting on the go. The iron heats up quickly and adjusts according what is selected on the dial. The cord is about 3 and ½ inches long but does not swivel. The heat select dial was difficult for me to turn possibly due to arthritis. The iron casing is very lightweight plastic and may not hold up if dropped. Otherwise, the iron works for small craft and sewing projects and is not a bad mini iron for the price.

Fast shipping! This is such a great iron for all your mini projects! I was using a larger sized regular iron and it always left my pieces unevenly melted:( With this iron, it leaves all my pieces evenly melted, exactly how I want them:) If you want to start out with making perler pieces, this is the iron to go with! It glides easy and heats up fast! There are also settings to go with your project.

I just wish there is a way to remind my kids to leave the iron standing before it cools down. I know all irons have been designed like this since forever, but this is for kids. Couldn't it come with a insulating surface to leave it on, or a stand?
