Files usually last a lifetime or at least the ones from the good ole days did. My other set worn down enough for me to buy these, so we will see about quality a little later. A great price for a set of files.

The five small files are the right size for sharpening pottery tools. With constant use, the pottery tools become worn and dull which is less effective for trimming excess clay. Find that the files are ideal.
