I actually had to call Mirka as to why this particular model number was less expensive then one of it's other models that appears to be exactly the same. Unfortunately I can't remember what the other model number was (as it was last Fall that I ordered them) but they're virtually the same product but on the Mirka site it says nothing as to their differences. The other model numbers disc (that is slightly more expensive by $4-$5/100) are all loose in their box versus these disc that are all attached to a pull tape. You pull on the tape and it brings forth the next sand paper disc. Personally I prefer the loose version and will pay the extra dollars because sometimes the edge of these disc will get stuck coming out of the top of the box and if I keep pulling thinking they'll eventually release then I might actually crinkle the disc (as I often do) and once that occurs it's difficult to get it to sit perfectly flat on the sticky base pad. It's minor but still it's disconcerting. Many may possibly find these more effective so to each his own.

I am normally a 3M paper guy. I decided to try this paper due to the lesser cost. I have used this over sandable primer and body filler and it clogs QUICK! I have been doing car repairs and body work for a long time and this is probably the worst that I have seen. I used Eastwood paper and it didn't clog like this did. I would not recommend using this for large projects as you will go through an entire box on one car. Adds too much cost to a final budget that way and costs you time having to swap discs constantly.

This seems to be a very good paper. I finished sanded my walnut kitchen drawer faces and doors with this and it came out glass smooth using air driven random orbital sander.

This product is great. It dispenses easily from the box, always sticks to the pad, and is long lasting. The price isn't bad either, and the shipping time is great.
