My wife's 2002 Jeep Liberty 3.7L started exhibiting smoke from under the hood. I took a peek and discovered there was noticeable oil buildup on the driver's side valve cover, and the grommets on the right hand side closest to the firewall were visibly wet with oil.Initially I ordered and installed a replacement valve cover gasket from RA, but the leak and smoke proceeded to get even worse, to the point where I was concerned about a fire starting from all the oil leaking on the exhaust manifold. I also made a rookie mistake and over torqued one of those notorious stud bolts and it broke off.Enter this valve cover. I was already frustrated that I had spent so much time cleaning the old cover and replacing the gasket that I didn't want to spend a ton of money before throwing in the towel and taking it to the shop. I was a little skeptical due to how inexpensive the cover was and how it's made of plastic, but it did the job!I was holding my breath for a minute there as I had to idle the engine for about 20 minutes to burn off the residual oil on the exhaust manifold, but ever since then there has been zero smoke or visible oil on the cover. This did the job perfectly and I couldn't be happier!

It not only was a direct fit but it also has an extra ridge inside that made it stronger than the oem one in the exact place where mine originally broke.

Drop my head with the cover on it well it crack it order new 1 seems fine (left side is driver side) (right side is passenger side) this might save some, some time

Worked exactly and fit exactly as intended. Installed easily and new bolts and grommets with pre seated gasket made for a flawless install.

My mechanic recommended I order this instead of paying full price from an auto parts store. He installed this part when it arrived, and had no issues fitting the part to my engine. The bottom edge of my cover had almost rusted through, so I had a constant leak causing some smoke around the engine. This fixed the issue immediately! Exactly as described!

The original valve covers were brittle and the attachment points snapped when the cover was torqued down. Buying used covers from a wrecker with new gaskets was more expensive than these new covers gaskets and mounting hardware. Delivery was fast!!! The covers were a perfect fit, went in with no issues.
