Open faucet handle to relieve water pressure and ensure that complete water shut-off has been accomplished. CARE INSTRUCTIONS To preserve the finish on the metallic parts of your Moen faucet, apply non-abrasive wax, such as car wax. Any cleaners should be rinsed off immediately. Mild abrasives are acceptable on Platinum and LifeShine® finishes.

The reason I gave this a three star rating has nothing to do with the product; it has everything to do with Moen's business practices. The small rubber ring on the anti-siphon valve of my commercial faucet was stretched and needed to be replaced. I didn't need the plastic internal parts, metal cover and screw, or Allen wrench to screw the cap on with. Like many companies, though, Moen only sells this kit, not the individual pieces. Have you ever needed a night light bulb and had to buy two of them because that is the only way they were sold? Well, this is the same story. You don't need to replace all of these parts for a stretched gasket. It is nothing but a way for Moen to make a few extra dollars. So the kit is fine but shame on Moen for the way they market the parts.
