I installed this on a 1999 GMT400 1ton gm truck, 2wd. I've read several reviews where they say the job is a beast, but on a 2wd it isnt. In and out in about 30 minutes if you know your way around your hand tools. You will want to turn the truck wheels all the way to the left so you can get enough clearance to pop it out and get the new one in, it just fits, no need to unbolt the steering gear box from the frame! I used an OTC 6496 puller to get it off the steering box, worked like a charm. For a 2wd the compact puller isnt needed, but works just as it would on 4x4's.I needed a 35mm socket to take the steering gear nut off, its a biggie!

As my other reviews state, I first began using Moog suspension parts over forty years ago. They manufacture their parts to basically “pick up where the OEM fell short.” For four decades, Moog has been my go-to source for anything suspension or steering related.Like all other MOOG parts, this pitman arm is made to a higher standard and is designed to allow for better lubrication to ensure less wear. I will not use any other brand.
