I buy aftermarket for upgrades and add-ons and such, but for my TJ's 4.0L, NV3550, or NP231J I only use OEM parts. I have had zero luck with AutoZone "DuraLast" sensors, hoses, filters or mechanical parts - especially the sensors or water pumps. All have uniformly been craptactular at best and outright garbage at the worst. A so-called Lifetime Warranty is junk if you have to keep tearing apart your engine to remove and replace a part that fails after only one year. Mopar parts have always lasted me about a decade, so, unsexy as they may be, expensive as they usually are, that is what I buy. I am happier and end up with more money in the long term. Always. This is a perfect example. My Purge Solenoid was making the typical popping/tapping noise these make after about ten years of use. I foolishly went to AutoZone for a replacement.Because Interwebz. _(ツ)_/¯Yes, I know better. I did it anyway. It died on me after two weeks. TWO WEEKS! At least this part is super easy to remove/replace. Under five minutes. No problems. Simple.I ended up looking at my 2003 Parts List PDF and found the original Mopar part number, found the current version of that here on Amazon, and tossed one in my electronic cart.Zero issues since. Probably zero until about 2025 if the old Mopar part is any indication. Sometimes you need to spend the money to get a decent part. For me, this was one of those times. Side by side, the Mopar one feels heavier, looks to be made from better molds, and generally seems to be of a much higher quality than the copy sold by AutoZone.I will not make this mistake again. If I want to keep my 2003 Jeep Wrangler TJ running forever I will never again use discount parts. It is getting pretty old and I drive it hard and rack up lots of miles every year. It has close to 300,000 miles on it. Only Mopar OEM for my baby from now on if it is still available. I know OEM parts distinct to the TJ are no longer produced in many cases, but all of the ones shared by current vehicles are, and many of the ones shared by other out-of-production models are still produced because there is a market for them. You get what you pay for. I am glad I paid for this.

Tried an after market product which didn’t work properly. This one performed perfectly from the get go!! Don’t waste your money on a cheaper product!

Works good and the clicking sound is normal . Even OEM makes that sound .

Jeep Wrangler throws O.B D. problems. check w/ Blue Driver. reads same code as before replacement. then clears light in a 100 miles or less. no indication of Evap Purge problem for 2 mos. Then on for a few days & off again.

I am very pleased with this purchase. I am using it for grated cheese and it’s perfect. I like the clear lid so I always know how much I have left.
