Solid check engine light about 5 trips after I filled the gas tank in the Jeep. Old gas cap stopped clicking when it was put back on the gas filler tube so the gas tank doesn't pressurize like it should. Unscrewed old gas cap. Medium sized flat head screwdriver, popped out the old retainer pushed on the new one - bring muscles. Screwed on new gas cap. 10 seconds maximum start to finish. New cap clicks closed just like a new Jeep. After about 10 start/stop cycles, check engine light shut off. Could not be happier! Go Mopar!

When I bought my Jeep it was used and they had a locking gas cap on it. I found it to be a PIA to use a key every time I filled up. I ordered this and it fits as it should. I like it much better. The gas cap it tethered so it doesn't fall off and it doesn't get in the way when filling up with gas.

I had thrown a code on my Jeep Wrangler. I did some research to make sure I had the right part number prior to purchasing. Although Amazon states that this part would not fit my Jeep, it does. It is the factory replacement for my particular Jeep. Easy to install, and I no longer have an error code.

This is an authentic MOPAR part. If you have a check engine light try replacing the gas cap first. It only take a minute and could save you a trip to the dealer.

After trying a few other name-brand replacement caps for a few Chrysler products ( 3 different Jeeps and 2 Dodge trucks) They all ended up with a small evap leak code and a check engine light. After performing all the required testing on these vehicles, I finally "broke down" and purchased an OEM (Mopar) fuel cap and it has fixed them....Just get an OEM cap and be done with it...Cheapest price is to get it from Amazon

Was getting a trouble code P0457 (Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected) in my Jeep, original gas cap lasted 190k. So I replaced it with this identical Mopar gas cap and the code went away and its all good. SUPER fast shipping as well, ordered it Sunday evening and received it Monday afternoon. Sucks about the high price for a gas cap, but Mopar quality is worth the premium price, so even though the price really should be less than half what I paid, I am still happy because I know it's going to last a long time.
