I bought this to try to resolve an exhaust system leak error message on a 2015 BMW 535GT- that can sometimes occur on vehicles equipped with that detection system when the gas cap seal isn't tight (e.g., gasket has worn away over time). This gap cap replaced the OEM cap with no problem. Installed in under a minute, and fits tightly. Sadly, my error message was caused by an actual leak somewhere else, but this cap would have solved the problem if the cap seal had been the issue. Because it fit by 535, I'd expect that the manufacturer is telling the truth about the other OEMs it is capable of replacing. Good stuff.

Mom has 2003 325i, lost her gascap at a gas station. The rubber bit that keeps ot to the car broke, and she had set her cap down and drove off. By the time she realized, the cap was gone. Bought this as a replacement, and so far she's happy with it. Does exactly as it should and nothing more.

This was for my daughter's 2008 BMW 135i. She lost the original gas cap and was getting an error code, so I bought this and it was very easy to install, just push the retaining lanyard into the anchor hole. Fits great and no more codes. Highly recommended.

Replacement for my 2003 BMW 330i, fits perfect. Only issue is the rubber tether which holds the cap in place to the gas cap door is short. Works fine, just should be an inch longer.

Perfect fix for 2020 BMW 540i trouble code P0456 EVAP System Leak Detection (very small leak)Took a about 10 mins after replacement for the amber eng light to extinguish. Good Luck!

The gas cap fit but the tether did not snap into place. After a dozen or so attempts, I even tried using a dab of vaseline on the end of the tether but still the tether would not snap into place. I never verified whether or not the cap would really seal in order to prevent trigging a check engine light. This product promotes itself as having the same part number as the BMW gas cap, however, I'm very suspicious of this claim simply because the tether did not fit.

I left a gas fill up in a hurry and left the cap sitting on the gas door. It was gone when I got home. None were available locally and I ordered this one on Amazon and had it the next day. Good price and quick shipping. Very pleased.

Kept the check gas cap code from popping up but never worked correctly. The click never worked and the tether does not swivel. Fell apart a few months in. Look elsewhere.
