Product Description

MOREY MACH 10 - BODYBOARD

MOREY MACH10

  • The MACH 10 skillfully combines features favored by both DK and prone riders.
  • With its agile, narrow design and a broader midpoint for stability, the board facilitates easier maneuvers and consistent performance.
  • The MACH 10 represents ongoing innovation and adaptability in bodyboarding.
MOREY MACH10

  • IXL DECK - A specified polyethylene deck skin that can hold strong surf and offers some serious durability. Because of this deck, you can surf the big and powerful waves without any worry.
  • SINGLE POWER ROD STRINGER - Embedded in the front of the board, features a dual composite carbon strength tube that provides a more powerful base, ensuring durability and longevity.
  • X-FLEX MESH - Essentially plastic chicken wire that is lain across the core on the deck and then the skins are laminated to the core, sandwiching the mesh between the two. The effect being that more "spring" is added to the board with the prevention of over-flexing.
  • POLY PRO CORE - Inside the board sits a premium super lightweight ultra-strong polypropylene core. Morey's X-Flex Polypro is it’s used by every professional bodyboarder. It is also 100% hydrophobic meaning your board is less likely to absorb water once damaged and it's stiffer than NRG+ and best suited for temperate to warm waters. Faster and stiffer, it can be hard to control for beginners.
  • DUAL CHANNELS - The channels are canals near the tail of the board. These channels help provide an extra grip on the face of the wave.
  • SURLYN SLICK - Surlyn is a unique, rubber-like combination of ethylene resins and other copolymers. Unlike rigid plastics, Surlyn has amazing flexural stiffness that allows a board to conform and contort to the curve of the wave when controlled by applied pressure from the rider.
  • CRESCENT TAIL - A tail type that was designed for all wave conditions. The crescent tail has less contact with the face of the wave and increases the bodyboard's fluidity, especially in barreling, close-out, or shore break conditions.
Bodyboard Size Chart

Morey Bodyboard Sizing

  • When selecting a bodyboard, both weight and height are crucial factors to consider for optimal performance.
  • Our size chart serves as a helpful guide, but you can also use what's known as a "rough sizing" method. To do this, hold the bodyboard in front of you; the ideal size should extend from your knees to your chin.
  • For heavier riders, a wider board is recommended to provide additional flotation and buoyancy.
  • If you plan on riding primarily small waves, opting for a larger board will also help with flotation. Conversely, if you're aiming to tackle larger waves, a smaller board is preferable as it allows more of your body to be submerged, enhancing control.
  • Below are some straightforward guidelines to assist you in determining the best bodyboard size for you.
  • BODYBOARD LENGTH
  • Your board, when standing on its tail (the back end) should come up to roughly within an inch to either side of your belly button. If you normally ride small waves, an inch above, big waves an inch below. If you are a bigger individual that doesn't meet height standards, then you'll need a board that is shorter and wider.
  • BODYBOARD WIDTH
  • You should be able to hold the board comfortably under your arm and against your side without much if any slack between your armpit and the rail. Again, the type of waves you ride may help your decision. Wide boards for smaller waves, narrower for bigger waves. Big rider? You need a wider board.
MOREY MACH 10

MOREY BODYBOARD'S

  • The modern bodyboard has its origins in California, USA, specifically at Doheny State Beach. In 1971, Tom Morey was watching some young kids surfing on polyethylene foam logs that were held together with PVC pipe. Morey was inspired by their creativity and saw an opportunity to create a new type of surfboard that would be more accessible to a wider range of people.
  • Over the years, Morey has worked tirelessly to perfect the bodyboard, experimenting with different materials and designs to achieve the optimal combination of speed, maneuverability, and durability. Today, the bodyboard is a popular choice for surfers of all ages and skill levels, and is widely recognized as a legitimate form of wave riding in its own right.
  • Despite its humble beginnings, the bodyboard has come a long way since Tom Morey first watched those kids surfing on foam logs at Doheny State Beach. Thanks to the dedication and innovation of Morey and other pioneers in the sport, the bodyboard has become a beloved and respected fixture of the surfing world.

Great board. Started with a Thurso EPS core board which was fine to try things out.....But decided to upgrade and the Mach 10 with the PP core was the best value out there. It is quick and responsive and gets me in with the big waves with confidence. Well built and sturdy. Actually bought a second one for back-up.

I recieved this board the very first day of the shipping range which was awesome! I am 5'10, 225 lbs and this board supported me very well. I was riding small waves in Fl so I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to get any good rides but I was pleasantly surprised. This board doesn't have a leash, which is fine for small wave riding but would be necessary on the west coast. Waxing the top edges of the board is a must for grip especially if you have sunscreen on your hands. The board is strong and durable and flexes enough for steering.

Polypro core, mesh and a stringer system for under 150 bucks. This is the single best value on the market... you can't find those features on a board for less than 240 bucks
