I haven't taken a cake in this carrier yet, but it's attractive, and the four side snaps are TOUGH to unsnap, so far. It appears sound, but I might still support it from underneath with the heavy pound cake I plan to give in it.

This carrier disappointed me in a couple of ways. It's barely tall enough for a double layer cake with icing. I thought that larger plastic flaps? clamped down all around to close the carrier. Also, I thought it clamped down around the sides of the bottom. I guess I didn't zoom in or look hard at the fasteners. I literally had to use a butter knife to pry the top from the bottom. There's a plastic hook, I guess you can call it, that clips into the top when you push the flaps down. I have arthritis and neuropathy in my hands, so there was no way I could pull these apart. Unfortunately, I needed a carrier for a birthday cake, so I had no choice but to use it. I just carried it by the bottom and left it unfastened. It'll just be my spare that I use at home from now on. Wish I had not been in such need at the time, I would definitely have returned it.

Great for round cakes or cupcakes. You could also use this for a smaller square care or corn bread. Snaps in place on the size securely. You don’t have to worry about it opening while carrying. Love the handles.
