I love using Spanish moss as a dirt topper for all of my indoor plants. It gives the dirt surface a nice uniform look and helps with evaporation control for more uniform moisture content in your soil. Note that this product literally grows in/on trees so it’s subject to variation per Mother Nature’s discretion! There are going to be little bits and shards but I just toss these in my plant along with everything else. Good quality, a little goes a long way as I have used this for about five plants and I still have some left. It does degrade over time, of course, so you might have to refresh it once in a while, but nothing crazy.

This is great for any indoor plan! There was not any smell to it which was great considering it’s for an indoor plant. The color is neutral and the quality is sturdy!

Unlike some reviews, the product I received did not have any odor or flying gnats. There was plenty of product for my faux plant and some left over. My only recommendation is to open this outside. When pulling apart, it does get a little messy as it is very dry.

If you want authentic, this is obviously pulled right off the tree. Mine came with twigs and leaves inside. Not washed I assume. Hopefully my plants don't pick up some fungus.

A little goes a long way! Easy to spread out. I only bought one bag and thought it wasn't going to be enough but after spreading it out it worked great! Love the muted colour as well
