I wasn't sure it would do the job when I looked inside and saw one less lead that the part it was replacing. I put it in anyway the housing was correct and that is how I determined to buy it. I turned the car on and flashers and turn signals work again! To diagnose the problem my mechanic told me to turn on the flashers to feel where the relay was. I located it and then used my turn signal left and right and could feel only one click and nothing else either side. With the new relay everything works great again.Thank you very much. saved me a lot of time and money. Now I can quit using hand signals for a while.

Not all 5 prong relays work in this directional signal application, at least on my 2011 Ford Ranger. I found this out after wasting $10 on a generic unit from a local auto parts store. This one was priced higher, of course, but still well below what the Ford dealer was charging. It worked perfectly and I was pleased with all aspects of the purchase.

Works on my 98 explorer even though the existing part was a different color and had 6 prongs instead of the 5 included in this model, apparently this is an updated version of what is in the truck. Saved a few bones over what i would have spent at the ford dealer.

The problem with the switch was actually in the wireing harness, so if I had known that, I wouldn't have had to purchase this product. As a result of the short in the wiring harness, it shorted out this switch and it stopped working after about 3 months of use. I don't hold the manufacturer responsible for missing this detail - just a warning: be sure to check the wiring harness.
