These balls work great for silencing string noise and dampening vibration. They are real beaver fur. They are quite large and very furry so be warned they can be a bit much to handle. Installing them on a flemish twist string is fairly easy to do without tools, insert one end in-between the strands then TIGHTLY twist down the string until there is only enough to barely insert between the strands again. For being such large and fuzzy balls they look great on a traditional bow. I couldn't recommend them enough. Even the girlfriend is constantly rubbing these balls, commenting about how large and soft they are, she can't get enough of them.*be warned, if your bow string is heavily waxed these balls are going to clump up and get messy. This is easily fixed with a nice cleaning to get them plump and fuzzy again, ready for action*

If you know anything about silencers, these will work great and are easy to install. I put these on all my modern recurves bows. They work great. They are quiet and look great. I do however, choice otter skin for my older bows, just for the look! Both are a great choice for recurve shooters. I would highly recommend these to anyone.

Threading this fur through the string as directed is pretty easy, until you go to tuck in the end. I put these on a 60" 50lb recurve, and after fighting to get the tail tucked in I gave up and unstrung the bow making the final process much easier. They look great, and do quiet down the twang quite a bit. We'll see how they hold up, the fur appears to be quite durable.

These were a little hard to install but quieted down the string really good. besides that they look cool. The hair makes it a little hard to install. but manageable They work pretty good.

I NEVER write reviews on things, but these beaver string silencers are worth every penny spent. I have a three piece reflex/deflex long bow from Galaxy archery. Very accurate bow but sounds like somebody smacked a snare drum every time I let the string go.Did not think for a minute that these things alone would solve that problem. Got them wrapped onto the string in a few minutes and after the first shot I knew I picked the right product to quiete the bow right down. No clue why beaver hair is so much better than other products, but it is.These will go on every bow I own now.

Work great. "I pet them, and I stroke them, and they're naughty, you're naughty." Ok, on a serious note, I think they look cooler than they work. Everyone who sees the bow, Bear Grizzly, always notices the b-balls first and compliments them. They do dampen the string, and cut vibration well. I added some calf hair groove silencers from this guy,: http://www.ebay.com/usr/peacefulglow?_trksid=p2047675.l2559They are working good too, but I cut them down quiet a bit, as they were longer than necessary(if you mount the groove silencers, string your bow soon after, and make sure to push down the edges so the adhesive sticks. I'm very pleased with the balls, groove silencers, and bow as a package.

These are is just what the doctor ordered. They took my Samick Sage recurve from "wake the neighbors" loud to a barely noticeable "wump." At this point, I have installed them on all four of my bows (reflex/deflex hybrids and recurves) and never make a new string without installing a new set or reusing a pair from an old string (they can be salvaged, though they may look a little less puffy for the experience).Installation requires some patience and using a helps create and hold an opening for the leather backing to sneak through. And even though it's tough to avoid if you maintain your string properly, the Beaver Balls are *easier* to install if your string hasn't been recently waxed as the hairs can sometimes get a bit fouled in residual wax. Finally, in my experience, Beaver Balls hold up better than cat whiskers. I've had two sets of cat whiskers fall apart within four months of shooting (even though installed by string tying professionals, not me) I suspect this may be due to the fact that the whiskers were lashed onto the twisted string rather than being anchored *through* the strands of the bowstring. YMMV, but for my money, Beaver Balls are the way to go.Hope that helps. Shoot straight!

These were an add on and I thought I might like them for my recurve bow but decided it was too much trouble to try and put on after watching a video on how to install on YouTube. I think I'll try my hand at making my own using paracord. i sent these back. Oh, I will say that if I end up with a very traditional recurve by Bear, I would probably add these because I'm sure they work and they look awesome.

Excelente producto, no creà que con sólo colocar estas tiras de piel se redujese el ruido y la vibración. Lo uso en un arco Take Down de 40 libras, 50" pulgadas. Gran Relación Precio-Calidad.Excellent product, I did not believe that simply placing these strips of skin would reduce noise and vibration. I use it on a 40-pounds, 50-inch Take Down bow. Great Price-Quality Ratio

Works very well, noticeable difference in the noise the string was making versus when the silencers were put on

I bought these not having very high hopes. It turns out they are very effective and easy to install.

Definitely silences my bow string quite a bit, placed between 5th and 6th nodes. The image is much fluffier than the actual balls I received but still works good.
