So, I love all things Mr. Pen to begin with BUT this scissor is a true gem for me in the kitchen. A cut above the rest (pun absolutely intended). This scissor is heavy duty and sharp. I use it to cut through thick meats for cooking. I imagine this could be great in the garden or for cutting up cardboard b ut I don't cross contaminate by using it outside of the kitchen. It has cut through some pretty thick cuts of meat also, so I am impresses. It closes easily and has a little clasp to keep it closed. I am very happy that I purchased this item and will likely pick up a couple more of them.

They're sharp enough but the spring keeps coming off.

Honest review is that --- please understand this scissor should be used only for the intended purposes.. I happen to use it to cut my veggies and was about to hurt fingers in that process.Please stay away if you can handle sharpness as it is way sharp than required.

These shears are heavy duty and very sharp. They have a safety pin that keeps them closed when not in use, which I like. They are rather bulky, but handy to have when you need to prep a whole chicken or turkey.
